  • I always put a 3/8 nut between the square headed clutch pedal adjustment screw and the casting that protrudes. Once you do that after the clutch is depressed, it won't let the pedal come back up and keeps the clutch disengaged when it's going to sit unused for an amount of time.

  • Once heard a story told by an older friend of mine Two cylinder John Deeres were used exclusively on their farm Until that was their neighbor bought one of these. He went to visit to see the new ford being demonstrated. He drove it and was amazed how easily it handled ,it was quiet ,had a great hydrolic system and had a foot operated clutch and operated so smoothly compared to the 530 ,630 and old G that he was use to. Needless to say the Fords soon replaced the Deeres on his farm too. That is until the new generation Deeres began to prove themselves.
